We moved our daughter from a less formal educational setting to a more rigourous enviornment which was about a year ahead academically. My daughter wanted to join 5th vs 4th grade which meant spending the summer "catching up".
Not only was the goal achieved but in less then 70 hours of tutoring time!!! Leah is extremally astute in recognizing not only the academic areas of strength and weakness but the emotional components that can often interfere with a childs achievments. She is one of the most present, compassionate and wonderful people I have ever had the priviledge to know. My child is not only a better student but a better person because of her time with Leah.

When my 11-year-old daughter started working with Leah for spelling support, I was amazed by the immediate difference it made. My daughter has always been an exceptional reader with an impressive vocabulary, but spelling was a stumbling block. Over time, it began to affect her confidence.
From the very first session with Leah, we saw results. Miraculously, Leah managed to make spelling playful and accessible in ways we hadn't experienced before.
The transformation has been remarkable. What was once a source of frustration has become an opportunity for growth and confidence. Leah didn't just teach my daughter to spell better—she helped deepen her love for language without the barriers that were holding her back.

We tried 2 different schools for our son k-2. Both schools were wonderful in different areas and they each had identified a reading discrepancy but lacked the resources to adequately address it. We decided to homeschool with one to one immediate academic intervention. 3 tutors later we found our match. For the last 3.5 years, Leah has brought her unmatched reading skill and technique to our door at a bright and early 8:30 am/ 4 days a week! Creatively she has designed a specific individualized reading program that addresses our son’s dyslexic needs using Orton- Gillingham and Wilson as her roots. Leah consistently brings and adjusts her methodology with our son’s development and progress. Every quarter we set a time aside to discuss and collaborate, alter and shift our plan. She is an intricate part of our academic planning process and advisement. With her vast experience and expertise, our son has gone from not being able to read to grade level chapter books. His current morning highlight is opening the next chapter! Thanks to Leah, this is also how we now feel in relation to his academic future!

As a parent of two children who have tutored with Leah, I feel incredibly grateful to know her! She has found unique and creative ways to make sure each of them, who are very different learners, not only learn and retain the information, but have fun doing so!

Leah has been a tremendous help in tutoring my son in language arts, as well as in math. She is kind, and positive, and always shows up ready to meet him wherever he is at. He is very confident with reading aloud, and does not resist math the way he used to before she began helping us. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a tutor. She has been an invaluable supplement to our homeschool curriculum.
